- RUBBING ALCOHOL – Alcohol can kill bed bugs by dissipating the cells of insects and can wipe out bed bugs. Rubbing alcohol is highly effective in killing them and can be sprayed on bedding and other items. Of course, this will only kill on contact.
- BAKING SODA – Baking soda can be spread around the infested areas and has traits that will kill bed bugs. It kills bed bugs by dehydrating them. Baking soda also has an anti-microbial nature and can be used sparingly due to its safe nature. Once you spread it be sure to re-apply after a week or a few days. Also vacuuming it up is a good way to ensure your picking all the debris.
- CAYENNE PEPPER – The cayenne pepper and the ginger combine to eliminate bed bugs on contact. Use this as a spray to target the areas in questions and surrounding areas. Clean up and reapply where needed. Like when adding spice to your food this stuff has the property to kill bed bugs on contact.
- TEA TREE OIL & CLOVE OIL – Of course, tea tree oil sounds like something that is recommended for so many things but for a good reason. Tea tree oil is derived from nature and the essential oil is anti-microbial. When mixed with water is can be used to kill bed bugs on contact and eliminate other microbes on linens or other items. The same comes from clove oil. The odor and acidic nature of clove oil will keep bed bugs away.
